YPFP is excited to announce we will be holding an event with the Secretary of State for International Development, Penny Mordaunt MP, on the 4th April, a few days before World Health Day 2019.

It will be a fantastic opportunity to discuss with the Minister how the UK plans to maintain its key international role in advancing the global health agenda and tackle some of the multiple health challenges the world currently faces. These are not limited to, but include outbreaks of vaccine-preventable diseases like measles and diphtheria, increasing reports of drug-resistant pathogens such as TB, growing rates of health issues related to environmental pollution and climate change and multiple humanitarian crises.

It will also provide a timely opportunity to discuss the role that DFID plays on the international stage and how the department will be address some of the challenges it is likely to face as the UK leaves the European Union.

Please allow up to 30 minutes to get through security.

Please also feel free to join us for a drink afterwards to hear more about YPFP and some of upcoming events in the future.
