Screening & discussion of National Geographic's "History of the Emirates"

National Geographic and the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates invites YPFP to a Cultural Diplomacy Discussion Series for the preview of ‘History of the Emirates’ at National Geographic HQ in Washington, DC followed by a discussion with the series creators and historians.

Set to broadcast over three consecutive weeks, starting the week of September 27th on the National Geographic Channel, ‘History of the Emirates’ is an informative and entertaining documentary series, narrated by Academy Award winner Jeremy Irons, highlighting the history and culture stretching back 125,000 years and culminating in the union in 1971. The series profiles the very foundations of UAE’s civilizations– exploring some of the region’s most historic sites, revealing the latest archaeological discoveries, and uncovering the innovations that allowed the country’s forefathers to thrive on the land.

Reception will begin at 6:00pm at National Geographic Headquarters' Grosvenor Auditorium. Screening to begin at 7:00pm followed by a panel discussion at 7:30pm.
