Communication is a central part of deterrence, allowing to maintain a degree of transparency that mitigates the risk of miscalculations. In today’s tense environment, effective diplomacy has never been more important for NATO and its Allies.

By participating in this workshop, you will increase your knowledge about how NATO negotiates and makes decisions at the highest level - the North Atlantic Council. In addition, you will also strengthen your negotiation skills and put them into practice during a short exercise.

We will be joined by a speaker who is perfectly placed to talk about diplomacy at NATO: Jorgen Christian Jorgensen, Secretary of the North Atlantic Council, Chief of Protocol at NATO HQ.

This workshop also constitutes a great networking opportunity which will allow you to get to know the other participants.

If you have any questions, please contact Marina Otasevic, Security & Defence Officer, YPFP Brussels at marina.otasevic@ypfp.org.

Please note that spaces at this workshop are limited and that registration is mandatory. This event is supported by the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. To enter the event, please register and show your ID card at the entrance.
