Emerging and disruptive technologies are increasingly touching every aspect of life, and are expected to have a significant impact on the defence and security domains.
Innovative technologies are providing new opportunities for NATO militaries, helping them become more effective, resilient, cost-efficient and sustainable. These technologies, however, also represent new threats from state and non-state actors, both militarily and to civilian society. To leverage opportunities and counter threats, NATO is investing with the Allies to foster innovation and maintain the technological edge. Recent initiatives include the launch of the NATO Innovation Fund and the Defence Innovation Accelerator for the North Atlantic (DIANA).
For the first YPFP NATO Series event of 2023, we will explore the following questions: what is the impact of technological innovation on security? What is the role of NATO, and how can it help the Allies? What is the role of defence industry, and how industry in Europe can cooperate to deliver NATO's requirements? Join us at the launch of YPFP NATO Series 2023 with this very timely event.
If you have any questions, please contact Marina Otasevic, Security & Defence Officer, YPFP Brussels at marina.otasevic@ypfp.org.
