As geopolitical tensions rise across Europe and beyond, conscription is once again at the centre of public debate. What role should mandatory military service play today, in times of stability as well as in moments of conflict? And how are societies preparing for future security challenges?
Join YPFP and the Quaker Council on European Affairs for an event that will bring together experts and participants for an interactive discussion on the evolving purpose, implications, and realities of conscription.
Following a moderated panel exchange, attendees will be invited to engage directly, present arguments, and reflect on how Europe should approach this sensitive topic. A networking reception will follow.
