New Working Group Launch:

Foreign Policy 4.0:
Meeting the challenge of technology and international affairs

** YPFP is pleased to launch its Foreign Policy Working Group for 2019 **

How should our political leaders understand modern challenges such as disruptive technologies, cybersecurity, hybrid warfare, and social media?

What does the accelerating rate of technological development mean for foreign policy and international affairs? How will cyberwar zones and cryptocurrencies upset established systems for regulating warfare and international commerce? What is the future for democratic structures when non-state actors can expertly employ tools like social media to influence public opinion?

These all have profound implications for nations foreign policy and international norms of behavior. Not next year. Not tomorrow. But today.

While politicians and pundits agree that these developments are altering the international system, few foreign policy leaders have the technical experience to manage these changes.

At YPFP, we are committed to engaging and amplifying the voices of young leaders to tackle these critical challenges. To that end, we are pleased to launch our 'Foreign Policy 4.0' working group for 2019, to understand and explore these themes in much greater depth.

We are kicking off with a planning session on December 13th, and we want you to be a part of that effort. RSVP today to reserve your seat!
