Migrants and minority groups in Europe are often disproportionately affected during times of crises. However, we have recently seen cases of migrant communities acting in solidarity to support each other in the pandemic response.

How have migrants and minority groups been affected by the pandemic? Has enough been done to protect them? How could the pandemic and the following economic crisis affect migration policy?

This event will showcase some of the efforts made so far and bring together frontline civil society representatives to discuss how to harness these local initiatives to shape a more pragmatic and empathic policy making approach.

Speakers:

- Juliana Santos Wahlgren, Senior Advocacy Officer, European Network Against Racism

- A representative from No Name Kitchen (Western Balkans NGO)

Anila Noor, refugee activist, Founder and Managing Director of New Women Connectors, TEDx speaker.

This webinar is organised in cooperation with the Quaker Council for European Affairs.
