YPFP Brussels would like to invite you to our latest installment of the YPFP Ambassador Series: The German Presidency of the Council of the EU.

The German Presidency of the Council of the EU started on 1 July 2020 and will last until 31 December 2020. By attending this exclusive event, you will have a chance to gain insights from Ambassador Thomas Ossowski, Representative to the Political and Security Committee, on how Germany tries to follow its priorities. You will also delve into how the global pandemic influences the path of its Presidency of the Council of the EU.

You can further engage with Ambassador Ossowski in a Q&A session and learn how the German Government focuses on overcoming the current global pandemic during its Presidency. You will also gain details on the Presidency’s role in managing global issues such as: climate protection, common security policy and social cohesion, so that the German Presidency of the Council of the EU can make Europe stronger, more sustainable and more equitable. 

The event will take place via Zoom and will be moderated under the Chatham House Rule
