Join us for a powerful and thought-provoking evening that brings the raw, unfiltered reality of the war in Ukraine into sharp focus.
Our speaker, Marian Prysiazhniuk, is a Ukrainian front line news producer who has been working in eastern Ukraine since January 2022. For over two years, he has remained embedded in active combat areas, documenting the war as it unfolds in real time. Through his firsthand account, Marian will offer a rare window into the gritty realities of modern warfare, from life under fire and interactions with Russian soldiers to the emotional burden and ethical challenges faced by journalists in conflict zones. Marian has conducted three interviews with President Zelenskyy, one of which was nominated and awarded “Interview of the Year” in Japan.
This is a rare opportunity to gain insight into the human dimension of war through the lens of someone who has lived it. The event is designed to be interactive, encouraging thoughtful discussion not only with Marian but also among participants in the room. Together, we aim to engage in an open dialogue that fosters a deeper understanding of the complexities of war and its impact on those who report it.
