Young Professionals in Foreign Policy (YPFP) Tokyo
is proud to present the second of its series on Quad-focused public events, “The Quad Australia: A Relationship With History”. Please mark your calendars for 27 January 2023, 1700 JST and sign up at this link: https://members.ypfp.org/event-5102660

The Quad is an informal dialogue made up of four countries: Japan, Australia, India and the United States. Built on the foundation of a free and open Indo-Pacific, the dialogue aims to maintain a rules-based order for the region into the future. Australia’s role and participation in this dialogue is complex, with its commitment being balanced by factors of ideology as well as economic and geographic security. Join our expert presentation as we unpack what Australia’s participation with the Quad means for the security of the state and the Indo-pacific moving forward.

This event will feature a keynote speaker lecture followed by a session of Q&A on Australia's participation within the Quad by Kate Clayton, Chief Operations Officer with Young Australians in International Affairs (YAIA) and a Research Officer with La Trobe Asia.

YPFP members are encouraged to submit questions that may be asked during the event to patrick.saunders@ypfp.org.
